When to use Yale Alert

  • When the Major Incident Manager feels an issue cannot be resolved within a reasonable amount of time and normal communication vehicles (email/status page) are not available, a Yale Alert notification may be requested. The request must be approved.
    • To request Campus-wide or ITS Staff & IT Partner Alert: Work with Major Incident Manager.

Examples of Yale Alert messages:

  • Network connectivity issues affecting CAS, email, other systems. ITS is investigating. Updates posted at: its.yale.edu/status

  • Services Unavailable: Including Yale websites, Oracle E-Business, email & Classes *v2. Updates will be posted here: its.yale.edu/system-status

  • YaleConnect Email Unavailable: ITS is investigating. Updates will be posted here: its.yale.edu/system-status

  • Network connectivity issues affecting CAS, email, other systems. ITS is investigating. Updates posted at its.yale.edu/status. Handivan riders call 203.432.2788 to rebook rides.
