The Vendor Management team, in collaboration with the Service Board are happy to announce another step forward in ITS’ service management maturity. Starting this month, April 2017, ITS Software Assets will be managed in ServiceNow.
This new capability provides clear visibility into the software managed by ITS staff. The assets will now be linked to the service offerings owned and managed by ITS Staff, who will now be able to view dashboards of owned licenses and contracts, including information about upcoming renewals. Owners will be automatically notified about upcoming software license renewals.
Among the many benefits, this change ensures that ITS does not pay for software that is not in use, and assures that the contracts we have in place are the right size for our user base.
